An important part of our project is to visualize all results in an easy, intuitive and efficient way. Both to supply chain professionals, managers and others involved in the organization. A good distribution of the findings is critical to its success. We also believe that Business Intelligence and Supply Chain Visualization, in other words a good visualization of the company's situation in general and from a supply chain perspective in particular, contributes to important insights and allows for performance improvements. Supply Chain Visualization and BI is therefore an important part in all our projects.
Trends in BI
Gartner, the world's leading IT research and advisory company highlights that one of the most important trends in BI 2012 is future analysis. They mean that companies using historical information and data trying to predict the future double their potential to overcome their competitors. This is obviously gratifying for Optilon since all the projects we undertake is to help out clients in planning and predicting the future. Two other trends highlighted by Gartner is Big Data and In-Memory Analysis. These areas have been identified as very important for our customers as well. The ability to quickly, easily and cost effectively analyze large data sets by downloading it to the individual PC is a prerequisite for our customers running to embrace the results of our optimization tools.
